Happy Friday Everyone! We’ve entered the first week of March and Winter seems to be competing with Spring. Whether it is grey outside or showing signs of the spring sun, we've been able to keep our spirits high by focusing on all the bright and colourful goodies we have in stock! Here’s a round-up of what we've been featuring on social media this past week!

Handmade Togo Mugs by Slightly Irregular
Chelsea Legge, of Slightly Irregular Ceramics, has been in to restock our shelves with her amazing work! Sea monster to-go mugs have been topped off and are back with additional colours. These whimsical pieces, along with the rest of her collection, are made from red earthenware from Lantz, Nova Scotia. Aside from the two sizes of to-go mugs featured here, Chelsea makes everyday objects ranging from mugs, bowls, planters, berry baskets and egg holders! Feel free to stop by to admire them in person!

Dried Flower Steam Kits by Fieldhouse Handmade
If you’re really missing the flowers of spring & summer, these floral facial kits, made in Wolfville by Fieldhouse Handmade, could be the perfect remedy for you! Just mix them in a bowl of steaming water then carefully drape a towel over your head and bowl to let the floral-infused steam gently purify and cleanse your pores! It also works great if you want to treat yourself to a luxurious flower petal bath to combat winter blues - what better time to pamper yourself?

Floral Felt Hoop Art by The Yellow Birdhouse
We’ve been long time fans of these felt floral hoops by Laura of the Yellow Birdhouse. They are a great way to introduce a pop of colour in your home without taking up too much space! Made from a variety of different fabric and wool felt, they’re soft yet cheerful and compliment pretty much any wall. The selection of colours and designs for these pieces changes depending on what material is available/inspiring to the artist, so it's best to visit our Halifax store regularly to see what's in stock.

women who make 2020 calendar by Sarah Duggan
Waiting to see what Sarah Duggan releases for her calendar has become a bit of a holiday tradition for us here at Inkwell. Every year she continues to stun us with an assortment of carefully chosen illustrations to welcome the new year and her 2020 calendar is no exception to this! This 2020 Calendar titled “Women Who Make” celebrates women living creatively. Each month features a group of women gathered together to do handcrafts and creative projects. Each page is thoughtfully designed to be re-purposed into 5x7 postcards at the end of each month (or year).

Another highly anticipated yearly release for us is this limited edition calendar tea towel from Keephouse Studio. The new 2020 design is bursting with bright colours and floral images. It is now available in-store and online but has been a quick seller every year we’ve carried it - it’s best to act sooner than later for this one.
