Leatherbacks are the largest sea turtle in the world and lack a hard shell or carapace. Instead their back is covered in tough, leathery skin. They migrate to the waters of Nova Scotia annually to take advantage of our fertile waters where they enjoy gobbling up jellyfish.

What is a nereid (nee·ree·uhd)? A nereid is an ancient Greek spirit of the sea. Known for their beauty and friendliness, they are especially protective of sailors and fishermen. The nereids were the fifty daughters of Greek gods, Nereus and Doris.
