Inkwell Modern Handmade Boutique & Letterpress Studio Inc. (Inkwell) prices do not include sales taxes or other charges, if applicable. All Canadian orders will be taxed according to your provincial tax rate, which will be calculated at time of checkout. Local Pickup - If you're in the Halifax area you can shop online and save on shipping fees by picking up your order curbside or in-store. You'll select the local pick up option at checkout and it's free!

Free Shipping is available for orders over $150 (after any discount is applied, but before tax).* Some exceptions apply and will be noted on the product listing.
We ship most orders via Canada Post. Tracking is included on all Expedited Parcel, XpressPost and Priority orders. Tracking is also provided if you reach our free shipping tier.
Normal delivery within Canada is 2-7 business days, depending on your location. Please note that during the Covid-19 pandemic, shipping providers are not guaranteeing their quoted delivery times.

These classic flat-top tealights are made using pure Nova Scotian beeswax and 100% cotton wicks.
Please note that due to the wide range of natural beeswax colour, no two batches will be alike in tone.
Tealight refills will require you to have a cup to burn them in. Either reuse a polycarbonate cup from a previous tealight or purchase a container of a similar shape made of heat-resistant material.
Candle Safety Tips
Always make sure to trim your wick to 1/4" (0.63cm) before starting to burn. Never leave a candle burning unattended or near a draft, vent or air current. Never burn a candle near a pet, child or on/near something that might catch fire. Never touch or move a candle while it is burning. If burning more than one candle at the same time, make sure you space out your candles at least 3 inches apart. Never burn your candle longer than 4 hours and never burn them all the way to the bottom.
Horsman’s Hearth is passionate about the thoughtful creation of products that celebrate nature, one’s sense of place and the spiritual connection if nurtured that can happen between them. Following a move to a rural community along the South Shore of Nova Scotia in 2018, it was as though crafter Veronica Goodfellow could think of nothing else.
For the next couple of years, Goodfellow worked in her community and saw the fulfilling, supportive relationships small businesses formed with one another to provide for the community at large. So in March of 2021 with that philosophy in mind, she decided to add her own approach into the mix, and the Horsman’s Hearth fire was officially lit.
Horsman's Hearth strives to impart the energies found in the heart of nature (those of abundance, harmony and protection) through the intentional choice of materials and slow craft, to help set the mood both physically and metaphysically; when you are in a space of comfort and as you take time for yourself.
